A teardown report by iPhone experts from iSuppli suggest that the manufacturing component costs to make the new iPhone 4S is only £112.89, however this does not take into account costs for iPhone software’s or licensing.
The most expensive component of the iPhone 4S is the Touchscreen and Display unit which only costs £23.09, and the least expensive component is the battery which is only £3.68. So if your for ever complaining about your battery life issue, then dont as it is the cheapest part in your iPhone 4S.
Obviously this report does not take into other costs such as delivery, software development, licensing and royalties but even after the sale Apple are in with a very good profit margin.
