O2 has released a free iPhone app, called TU Me, which allows users to make free calls and the ability to send free text messages to other TU Me users.

TU Me users can make free calls and send free text messages through their own data connection, which gets deducted through their own data allowance. Users can also take advantage of using WiFi to make free international calls. However, unlike Skype you are unable to make calls to landlines.

Historically, mobile phone operators were not interested in creating apps to take advantage of new smartphones to allow users to make calls through VOIP as it would hurt their revenue.

Tu Me would be a direct competition to Skype, Whatsapp and other VOIP applications.

Currently Tu Me app is free to download for all iPhone users through iTunes, even if your not with O2 you can still go ahead and download it. If your and Android smartphone users, don’t worry as an Android based app will be released soon.

The popular Minecraft PC game by Mojang is now available to play on Xbox 360. You can download the game through Live Arcade for 1600 points, which equals around £13.

If your asking yourself ‘What is Minecraft?’ then let me explain. Basically you roam around the world, build things to your imagination, mine for materials like gold, diamonds, etc, harvest for ood and try and avoid large spiders and zombies during the night. Objective of the game is to survive as each day goes by. You also have the option to play in Multiplayer mode, see below video.

The Xbox 360 version has been simplified for gamers to easily build things through the controller and has a much improved map.

The game has had many good reviews, not only from the gaming press community but also from people who have purchased the game.

The makers of Angry Birds, Rovio, are to release a brand new titled game called Amazing Alex based on the Casey’s Contraption intellectual property rights, which was recently bought by Rovio from Snappy Touch and Mystery Cocunut developers.

Casey’s Contraption was released last year for iOS. The game is physics based puzzle game where you have to solve puzzles based on the physical properties of the objects.

There are mentions floating around on the web from Samsung Galaxy Note owners from Germany and Netherlands that they have recieved the official Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich updates.  The total file size to download is 319.89 MB and it brings a number of key updates along with ‘Premium’ apps.

The updates will bring improvements to the web browser, the touchwiz interface and also a number of performance updates. The ‘Premium’ contents will include an app called My Story which allows users to make cards New S Note App New S Memo widget and a unique Angry Birds Space game.

There have been no mentions of these updates from UK Galaxy Note users. However, we have been persistently pressing the software update just in case we missed the updates.

Samsung has yet to officially announce that they are sending updates to Galaxy Note owners, as they have originally planned to release the updates in a few months time.

For all us Galaxy Note owners here int he UK, we just cannot wait any longer for this update. Samsung if your reading this, please make it happen soon.

We are unable to determine whether the screenshot capture from Blockbusters internal system is the real deal. However, looking through the list there are  some titles i’m looking forward to play like Batman, Ghost Recon and Splinter Cell 6.

The Nintendo Wii U is expected to be on sale during the same time when the rumoured Sony PS4 and Xbox 720 area to be released in December 2012.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is set in the year 2025 and the gameplay is set around a cold war between USA and China.

If like me you were disappointed over the news of the Samsung Galaxy S3, then don’t be! I like many other people was eagerly waiting to find out what the Galaxy S3 model looked like. Well, I think my hype was built up by reading and looking at thise concept picitures of the rumours going through the internet with soo many claiming that they had the prototype at hand.

I was slighty disappointed with the design, I wanted tye screen to cocer most of the phone and the frame should be more of a square design. Well, thats just me. However, looking past the design, the specs remain some truth to the rumors, uts has a 4.8 inch Super AMOLED touch screen, 1.4GHz quad-core proxessor and 8 megapixel rear camera with 1.3 megapixel camera at the front. I forgot to mention that its also very slim.

There has been some improvement to the software, Samsung promoted its new Siri like voice feature called “S-Voice”. Samsungs new voice assistant can be activated by saying “Hi Galaxy”, which i must say it is impressive, so next time your around some people you know who have the Galaxy S3, just shout out “Hi Galaxy” and see how many peoples ph9ne respond .

Another thing that Samsung has pitched is its smart new feature where the front camera can detect if you’re looking at your screen to keep the screen lit, and once you look away it will automatically dim the screen. If this can save my battery and keep it going for linger, then i like this feature already.

Other smart features include the Samsung Galaxy S3 to dial the person you are looking to dial automatically when you move the phone closer to your ear.

The only thing bugging me, correct me if I am wrong readers, is that I am disappointed with the design. I exoected the screen to cicer most of the phone with little exposure of the frame and also be a bit more square-ish with smoth round edges and have a chrome like finish.

Should i stick with the Galaxy Note or replace that with the Galaxy S3?

Players unlock new stages and rewards as they progress through the campaign based on times they have achieved, as they compete in one of ten environments including the Stadium, Arena, Black Market, Junk Yard, Factory and Ship. Each new stage offers a new objective to be completed from surviving the onslaught attack of enemy vehicles in mosh pit to completing a set of stunts as you compete against the stop watch in check point. Later stages include planting and defending a strategically placed bomb and escort missions.

Smash ‘N’ Survive features split screen to play one on one, along with 30 unique concept customisable cars to complete the experience.

In their official Ghost Recon Blog the team announced that the Ghost Recon Future Soldier will be released on 22nd May in US followed by a release in Europe on 24th May.  The game will be released for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3, and they have officially confirmed today that a PC version will be released but will be available at a later date.

The trailer shows a single player gameplay footage with the soldiers using many military gadgets like sensors showing enemies through walls and drones which are sued to find or follow enemies.  Through the footage you can see the soldiers using cloaking camouflage to become invisible and blend into the background to sneak up on enemies.

The game has been delayed from its original launch, however Beta testing of the game is available in April for Xbox 260 and Playstion 3 users.
