How to claim free PS3 games from PlayStation Network as a way of apology from Sony

As like any avid PS3 fan im very keen to getting back on the PlayStation Network to play with my friends across the world, and now with the PSN back online im pleased that after a month of waiting and pondering whether to get a Xbox 360 it is finally back online.
One thing that i do know is Sony is wholeheartedly sorry of what has happened and to show how sorry they are they are giving away to PSN and PSP users 2 free games which can be downloaded from the PlayStation Network.
PS3 and PSP owners have a selection of games to download from, and if you own Both, PS3 and PSP that means you get to download 4 games, 2 for your PS3 and 2 for your PSP.
The games available for users to download for the PS3 are:
- Dead Nation
- inFAMOUS
- LittleBigPlanet
- Super Stardust HD
- Wipeout HD + Fury
The games available for users to download for the PSP are:
- LittleBigPlanet (PSP)
- ModNation Racers
- Pursuit Force
- Killzone Liberation
To download the games you will need to go to the special Welcome Back section in the PlayStation Store on the PS3, or PSP, and follow this process: Select your first game from “Game 1”, then return to the Welcome Back page and go to “Game 2” to select your second game out of the remaining choices available. This goes for both PS3 and PSP.
The process can be a bit tricky so check out the official Welcome Back PlayStation blog.
In addition to the giving away free games Sony is also offering access to their premium subscription service, PlayStation Plus, which includes games, huge discounts, exciting exclusives and added features like online storage and automatic downloads, to all PSN members for 30 days at no charge, requiring no long term commitment.
Current Plus subscribers will receive an extra 60 days added to their existing subscription at no charge. For current Plus subscribers, no action is needed as the 60 days are automatically added to your subscription.
PlayStation Network users will also get 100 virtual items in PlayStation Home as a show of appreciation for your patience while Home was inaccessible. Additional content is coming soon, including the next addition to the Home Mansion personal space, and Ooblag’s Alien Casino, an exclusive game.
So lets give Sony a chance to rectify this and hopefully they fix the PlayStation Network from future hackers.
Is Sony doing enough as a way of officially apologising to you PS3 and PSP fans? Leave a comment below.
