PS3 users who have been banned from the PlayStation Network will receive a error message when trying to connect to the network, the following message will appear “you cannot use PlayStation Network with this account (8002A227)”.

According to some UK users Sony has followed through with those that have been banned with an email with the reason why they have been banned, however if you think you have been banned in error you are encouraged to contact the Sony’s consumer support centre but remember Sony knows who if you have hacked your PS3.

Sony are within their rights to ban users who have hacked the consoles and running pirated games and software’s.

However, according to Destructoid.com users have found a way of users who have been banned by Sony to unban themselves and other users providing they know your PlayStation network ID.
